help spread awareness for the eliminate project! eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus!
the cause
Every 9 minutes, Neonatal Tetanus (MNT) takes the life of another baby--resulting in 60,000 newborn deaths a year. Through the Eliminate Project, Kiwanis and UNICEF have teamed up to raise funds in order to maintain a stable network of workers, vaccines, syringes, safe storage and transportation to save the mothers and babies who suffer this disease. With the unified efforts of Key Club, Kiwanis, UNICEF, and you, Neonatal Tetanus can be prevented!
What can i do?

eliminate week (may 20 - may 24)
Monday, May 20th: Childhood Day
(Dress up as a kid, wearing typical child clothes or any clothes reminiscent of your childhood. Remember, we are giving these babies a future and, correspondingly, a childhood!)
Tuesday, May 21st: Workout Day
(In accordance with Health Day, wear clothes that suggest fitness and health!)
Wednesday, May 22nd: Pin Ninja Day
(To further spread Project: Eliminate, we will be playing Pin Ninja throughout the day. You can participate, too! Pick up a handful of clothespins in Rm. 310 on Tuesday, May 21st and on Wednesday, sneakily pin anybody you talk with, hug, even walk past. The object is to pin an ELIMINATE pin on people without having them notice--on their clothes, backpacks, laces, etc. They will eventually notice the pin sometime further in the day. Each pin will read something along the lines of #ELIMINATE, Save Babies!, or Stop MNT.)
Thursday, May 23rd: Blue and White Day
(Wear blue and white clothes--the official colors of Eliminate Week.)
Friday, May 24th: Pie an Officer Day
(Throughout the week, funds will be raised for Project: Eliminate. On Friday, during the Key Club meeting, witness the officer with the most funds raised get pied in the face! More information below.)
